Kathmandu, June 1, 2017: The ‘Clean City’ campaign has begun from today in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Newly-elected Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya and Deputy Mayor Hariprabha Khadgi launched the program amid a function from Bansbari.
Shakya had announced the campaign soon after taking oath of office and secrecy and assuming office on Wednesday.
While involving in the campaign, he said that the campaign was launched to make the city clean not for the cheap popularity. Similarly, Deputy Mayor Khadgi expected public support for the mission.
Locals, representatives from different social organizations, and officials of the metropolis had participated in the campaign.
