Clean Energy Nepal to organize third edition of Maskmandu

Kathmandu, February 6, 2018: Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) is launching the third series of Maskmandu: A Campaign For Clean Air Rights campaign from February 8 to February 14, 2018, in Kathmandu.

The main aim of Maskmandu is to create public awareness about the ongoing pollution of Kathmandu Valley as well as exerting pressure on stakeholders. The theme of the campaign this year is on the theme Ma (म) i.e Me; My. The event aims to convene enthusiastic individuals who will to combat the serious battle of air pollution.

Rajan Thapa of  CEN said, “We are going to give continuity to the campaign under the slogan ‘I love my lungs’ to  induce pressure in making Kathmandu Valley clean.”  Various programs will be organized at different places in Kathmandu Valley under the campaign. Chabahil, Koteshwor, Satdobato, Kalanki, Maitighar, and Sundhara are the places the event will commence starting from  February 8 to February 13.

The main event of the campaign will be conducted on February 14, 2018, where rally, demonstration, gathering, discussions and human mosaic formation will be the main subject.

CEN is an independent, non-profit service oriented, policy, research and implementation organization that focuses on research-based education and advocacy campaigns. They work on issues related to sustainable energy use and environmental conservation.
