Kathmandu, February 22, 2018: In an award ceremony held in Kathmandu by Embassy of Pakistan on February 21, 2018, Nepalese students, Aayusha Bhattarai and Denisha Chaulagain have been felicitated for bagging the first position on the Ambassador of Pakistan’s ‘6th Annual Essay Writing Competition’ and ‘2nd Annual Speech Competition’ respectively.

Similarly, Smajhuta Bhattarai, Malika Humagain, Rahul Dewan, Aliza Singh Khadka and Bhawana Bhandari were also awarded for their essays and speeches.

Himalaya Shamsher Rana, Chairman of Nepal–Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association presented awards to the winners. Over 1500 Nepalese students from Higher Secondary Level (10+2) to University level had participated in the competition.

The topic for the essay competition was, ‘In today’s world, neighbours are important but neighbourhood is equally important: South Asian’. The winners of this competition were presented with gold, silver and bronze medals along with certificates and cash prizes of NRS. 40,000, 35,000.00 and 30,000.00.

The topic for the speech competition was, ‘Are Humans too dependent on Information Technology?’. The top four winners of the competition received Rs 40,000, Rs 35,000, Rs 30,000, and Rs 20,000, respectively.
