Fifteenth International Maithili Conference: An Event to Celebrate Maithili Culture

Saptari, 25 December,2017: The fifteenth International Maithili Conference is going to be held in Rajbiraj, Saptari with the main motive of preserving and advancing the Maithili language and culture.

The conference which is scheduled to be held on January 21, 2018, will comprise Maithili language scholars from Nepal and India. Similarly, researchers from both the countries will also be attending this two-day event.

On the first day of the program, an international women poets’ conference will be organized while a colloquium and cultural program will be held on the second day. A declaration will be drafted on the second day of the event. The conference aims to honor the linguistics, artists and philanthropists of Maithili community.

Dr.Baidyanath Chaudhary, Maithili language campaigner and an Indian educationalist, is the man behind the fifteenth Maithili conference whose main aim is to bring about oneness among the Maithili community.
