Pokhara, February 26, 2018: On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebration of Himalayan Eye Hospital, Gharipatan, Pokhara and 100 years of the Lions Club International, a free eye camp was set up at Western Region Community Hospital at local Prithvichok, Pokhara on February 25, 2018. About 970 drivers and their helpers of public transportation underwent eye check-up.
The main objective of eye check-up camp was to minimize the likelihood of road accidents. Twenty patients have been referred to the Himalayan Eye Hospital for advanced treatment.
According to programme coordinator Binod Dhungana, free medicines and glasses were provided to 400 people at the eye camp. Similarly, the hospital had facilitated aged people with free eye camp and free medicines.
