“Through the rally, we wanted to aware the residents of Kathmandu valley that the air quality is degrading every other day, and will create serious health problems if not taken any measures to mitigate it,” informed Subas Neupane, one of the rally participants, and also a student at St. Xavier’s College. “The main motive of the rally is to pressurize the contractor of the ongoing Melamchi project, as well as the government of their carelessness, and how government not monitoring the construction process has posed a serious risk to public health,” he added.
