Kathmandu, January 10, 2018: The Ministry of Education and National Examination Board have decided to implement letter grading system in Grade 11. This declaration has gestured the publication of the result of Grade 11 within this week.
Chandra Mani Poudyal, Executive Director of NEB, said that the NEB had implemented letter grading system in Grade 11 as per the decision of the government to bring the Plus Two education under school education system.
“We had some technical difficulties regarding the implementation of the letter grading system. Many members of the board even said that this would have a negative impact on the quality of education, but we have decided to implement the grading system,” said Poudyal.
This letter grading system in Grade 11 will also initiate grading in Grade 12 as well. But the students appearing in the supplement examination will be assessed under the marking system.
In order to gap the disparity among the students from different backgrounds, the grading system is brought into action. The Grade Point Average system is divided into nine different levels.
