Kathmandu, March 25, 2018: Tribhuwan University- Central Department of Environment Science (TU-CDES) in association with Environmental Transition- Nepal (ISET-Nepal) and Resources Himalaya Foundation (RHF) is all set to organize the fourth series of ‘Graduate Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development’ from April 5 to April 6, 2018 at Hotel Himalaya, Pulchowk.
The theme of the conference is ‘Nature, Science, and Society: Fostering Youth Leadership for Research and Development’. The conference is open to students, graduates and young researchers from Nepal who are currently studying or have graduated with the focus in the areas such as environment, social, economics, sustainable development and related disciplines.
The participants will present their thesis findings and case studies on thematic areas such as pollution and health, disaster and climate change, energy for development, economics and management in both oral and poster presentation.
The conference is aimed to establish an interdisciplinary knowledge-sharing platform for young researchers with a particular focus on the environment, resource conservation, management, economic development and natural science. It also aspires to develop leadership and public engagement skills of participating graduates by involving them in the conference processes.
