Kathmandu, July 4, 2017: The first episode of Himalaya Roadies, a youth based reality television show, has hit the screen on Monday night. The show is set to be aired every Monday at 8 PM on Himalaya TV. The official franchise of India’s popular television reality show MTV Roadies had been one of the most awaited shows in Nepal.

The first episode which featured the auditions of Pokhara held on March 1 at Hotel Jalmahal, has garnered massive attention from the youths in Nepal. Residing as judges for the show are actress Deeya Maskey, youth sensation Ashish Rana aka Laure, and media personality Raymon Das Shrestha.

“No fakeness, that is what we want to see in contestants,” expressed the judges in the first episode after getting hugely impressed by a few contestants. The judges tested the fortitude of the participants by judging their tolerance and endurance level. While some contestants were able to show their burning passion to be a Roadie and impress the judges, some of them were even seen entertaining the judges with their hilarious moves.

The participants selected for the next round by the judges and directors were announced by the host Nattu Shah.  The four participants continuing with the next round are Animesh Shahi, Menuka Tamang, Suzana Shrestha and Reshma Nhuchhen Pradhan.

After watching the show, youths in social media are buzzing about the show. Most of them loved the auditions and appreciated the concept, which is the first of its kind in Nepal.
