Sagar Parajuli, a 19-year-old social activist from Nawalparasi, takes social service as a hobby and passion.
A high school graduate from National Institute of Science, he is currently pursuing Bachelors in Public Health in Nobel College. Academically meritorious student, Parajuli excelled with honorary scholarships besides him. But, he always felt the need to continue social work along with academics because of his great love for social service.
He is currently working as the Joint Treasurer of Nepal Red Cross Circle- Noble College, and an activist at Amar Bal Club, Jagriti Child and Youth concern Nepal (JCYCN), and Youth Advocacy Nepal.
Having won The Most Disciplined Fresher Nobel Award in 2016, Parajuli is also a member at SOCHAI-Youth for Nutrition and Global Peace Young Leaders. He shared to Glocal Khabar, “My view to society is that teenagers can initiate and implement social changes if society and family work with them together, giving them an environment to nourish.”
Hailing from a public health background, he aims to contribute in the enhancement of public health of citizens in the country. He is also a member at Nobel Public Health Dynamic Club leading campaigns for public health.
“I dream of social changes in a sustainable way. For this, I see myself as path guide for future generations and as an example for making social contributions at this teenage. I want to make social transformation by the active participation of child, youths and all peoples. So, I see myself as a social change-maker and innovator in five years,” he expressed.
