Kathmandu, November 27, 2017: Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) on Sunday, November 26, organized a felicitation program to its recent BBA graduates with the aim of recognizing and rewarding the students with excellent records.

This year, as many as 80 management graduates are entering the corporate world from KUSOM, which is claimed to be one of the best business schools in Nepal. On the felicitation program, the graduates were oriented about the corporate world through a welcoming speech given by the guest speaker Mr. Saurabh Jyoti, Director of Jyoti Group and Chairman of Syakar Company. Mr. Saurabh Jyoti shared his experiences with the students thus mentoring them about how they should gear up to compete in the corporate sector.

Mr. Jyoti also encouraged the graduates saying they are going to be responsible for making Nepal self-sustainable. He mentioned,

The youths are not only responsible for the future of the country but the present as well. We are always complaining about the inefficiency in our country but it is the inefficiency that has formed opportunities that can be tapped upon by the young minds. We need to create an environment in Nepal where the job seekers turn into job creators. We need to get it into our heads that the country cannot sustain for long by remittance and it is high time we realize our country is about to reach the saturation point for remittances.

On the program, a memento of appreciation was provided to all the students who had performed excellently academically or in co-curricular activities during their college years. This was held with the sole purpose of conducting reward and recognition for the students and motivating them to do even better in their respective future endeavors.

The graduates are not only going to showcase their qualities but are also going to act as efficient representatives of the institution thus having them attached to the institution is crucial.

Kushal Bhatta, President of Student Welfare Council at KUSOM, mentioned, “These felicitation programs have not only turned out to be efficient but are also important because the graduates have dedicated four important years of their life to this institution and when they become successful in the future it is going to be events like these that is going to remind them of their journey towards success and also make them realize their institution’s role in their journey to success.”
