Letter of civic felicitation to be offered to Indian President in three languages

Janakpurdham, November 3,2016: Indian President Pranav Mukherjee will be presented a letter of civic felicitation in three different languages – Nepali, English and Maithili by the people of Janakpur on his arrival on Friday.

According to Civic Felicitation Programme Committee Coordinator and Janakpur Metropolis Chief, Punya Prasad Luintel, the felicitation letter is presented to address the Nepal-India friendly relationship that has been connected by two holy shrines- Janakpur and Ayodhya, marriage of Ram and Sita, the Mithila-Awadh relations, its languages and culture.

The President of India will pay homage at the historic Janaki Temple and attend a civic reception to be held at Tirhutiya Gachhi. Keeping in view of the president’s arrival, the temple has been decorated and security has also been beefed up. President Mukherjee is scheduled to spend 55 minutes in Janakpur and he will be received at Janakpur Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi.

Welcome gates have been constructed in a distance of three kilometers stretching from Janakpur Airport, Janakpur Temple premises to Gachhi and flags of both countries and banners have been placed in the electricity poles to welcome the president
