Team Nepal Ready for International Robot Olympics

Kathmandu, August 13, 2018: Team Nepal is finally ready with all the preparations for Robot Olympics- FIRST Global Challenge. Robotics Association of Nepal in association with Nepal Engineer’s Association proudly presents Team Nepal.

The FIRST Global robot Olympics is an annual culmination of focused STEM/robotic involvement of exponentially increasing student bodies from all nations in growing collaboration. The intent is to enhance the global call for STEM education in the international student community, while emphasizing the value of nations’ cooperation in addressing the Grand Challenges of Engineering that our planet and people must address in order to thrive as identified by the national engineering and science academies of the United Kingdom, United States, and China.

Team Nepal comprises of winners of Yantra 6.0 Robotics Competition. Shishir Sanchauri, Sajin Shrestha, Prithvi Chaudhary and Sarthak Sen accompanied by Er. Binod Kandel, Secretary of Robotics Association of Nepal are now ready for the challenge.  According to Er. Bikash Gurung, president of Association of Nepal, RAN’s vision is to represent Nepal globally in the field of Robotics and Automation and we see this as an opportunity and huge milestone in the history of Nepal to make it happen. One important turn which can change the history of Nepal, our team is well prepared as this team worked together with us since past 4 months to build a strong robot that can win the competition.
