Kathmandu, 19 December, 2018: Nepal is soon introducing aeronautics and astronautics engineering program in co-operation with China.
According to Xinhuanews, the program offers a bachelor degree in aeronautics and astronautics engineering in the first phase. In a three-day workshop organized by Tribhuvan University and China’s Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Kathmandu, the plan to introduce aeronautics and astronautics has been unraveled.
Prof. Tirtha Raj Khaniya, vice chancellor of TU mentioned that the university is delighted to welcome aeronautics in its academia. He expressed his expectations of producing capable human resources through this international collaboration.
Prof. Tri Ratna Bajracharya, Dean at the Institute of Engineering indicated, “Since Nepal is a mountainous country where aviation is the most sought transport, this program will be very suitable for Nepali students.” He emphasized this program to produce globally competitive and capable professionals.
Previously, Tribhuvan University had already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 18 Chinese universities in different fields of civil engineering, medicine, business and economics.
