Kathmandu, Jan 4: The weather condition in the country including Kathmandu Valley is likely to improve from tomorrow. Majority of the parts of the county have been witnessing winter rain and severe cold since the past few days.
Normal life has been affected due to the dip fall in the mercury followed by rainfall across the country.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Tarai region has witnessed cold wave, severe cold in hills while it snowed heavily in mountainous regions. The effect of the westerly wind from the Mediterranean Sea and from the Arabian Sea resulted in slight rainfall and biting cold in the valley and other parts of the country, said Meteorologist Raju Pradhananga.
The sky in the hilly region would remain partly clouded today while snowfall is expected in the western mountains, he added.
