World Nomads is offering aspiring travel filmmakers scholarships for a 12-day travel film-making trip to Tanzania. The selected participants will capture the diverse people, places and wildlife that make Tanzania an adventure hotpot.
The selected participants will be offered free flights to and from the filming site and also mentor-ship from professional filmmakers to grow as a filmmaker. In addition, they will also receive expenses for their 12-day stay in Tanzania from 11th to 23rd of October, 2018. Camera bags, audio gear and travel insurance is also upon the organizers.
To be eligible to compete for the scholarship, the aspirants should make a 3-minute documentary interviewing an amazing adventurer or inspiring traveler and bring to life their compelling travel story around one of the following themes: ‘courage’, ‘kindnesses and ‘acceptance’. They will then have to upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and make it publicly accessible and complete the application form expressing what motivates them to apply for the scholarships in less than 1500 words.
The application is open for all except professional filmmakers with the majority of their income is derived from film-making activities. Apart from that, the applicants should be over the age of 18 at the time of application and be able to communicate in English.
