Dhaka, 2 December, 2014:Bangladesh won by 6 wickets against Zimbabwe in the final ODI of the five-match series to complete a consecutive whitewash in the tournament at Dhaka.

Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss, and this time decided to bat and started on a high before stumbling upon spin and folding to 128 runs. Zimbabwe found themselves scoring at nearly 5 per over after 22.5 over but with 4 of their top order back in the hut. Jubair and Shakib clipped two wickets each and reined the run rate.

Debutant Taijul Islam picked four wickets, including a hat-trick, to devastate Zimbabwe’s middle order. He became the first bowler to get a hat-trick on debut in an ODI.

In reply to the chase of 129, Bangladesh lost 4 early wickets with poor contributions from top order.  Mahmudullah fittingly scored the winning runs for Bangladesh in the 25th over by belting Mire to the mid-wicket fence, the crowd exploded in celebration. It was a comfortable win for the tigers made interesting by the Zimbabwean bowlers, to say the least. Chatara claimed three wickets while Panyangara took two.

The home side is at the verge of a 5-0 whitewash in the series in succession to the 3-0 sweep in the Test series against the visiting Zimbabwe.
