Kathmandu,3 Nov 2014 : Chairman at the Constituent Assembly Subas Chandra Nembang has said that the political parties should concentrate on drafting a new constitution by making common consensus on the disputed issues considering the slated time.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Nepal Students Union (NSU), All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), ANNFSU (Revolutionary) among other student unions today, CA chair Nembang said that the parties now should decide the issues as they have held continuous discussions on the issues.
He further said though the parties were saying that they could reach in consensus within two hours but they have not decided the disputed issues so far even after holding several formal and informal discussions.
Chair Nembang said that the disputed issues should let discuss at the people’s level if the political parties were unable to decide them.
People are waiting for the new constitution from the CA therefore; the country cannot go back from this mandate, Nembang added.
The memorandum submitted to the CA chair Nembang has pointed out the need of promulgating a new constitution on slated time by maintaining national consensus by paying any values within the slated.
