Kathmandu, Nov 28: The Ministry of Finance is planning to set up a ‘Help Desk’ at its premises to address problems faced by the general public.

The Ministry will hear complaints from service recipients of the activities in its offshoot departments and offices and establish a desk for its management and provide hi-tech service.

The commoners can now file complaint at the Ministry’s Help Desk directly through the hotline over their discontent regarding the economic activities and other works at Finance Ministry, Customs Department, Inland Revenue Office, Auditor General’s Office.

Ministry’s Spokesperson Krishna Prasad Devkota said the desk was going to be established to make the country’s economic administration efficient and to provide prompt service.

Devkota said the desk would be installed for a week to hear complaints and then start works for resolving them. The same line would be used to issue directives to address the problems once the complaints are drawn in, added Devkota.

The Ministry’s Spokesperson asserted that action would be taken against the employees if they are found to be guilty after due investigation and monitoring. He said the desk would register complaints like the Hello Sarkar installed at the Prime Minister’s Office to hear complaints from the public.
