First-ever Rampur Festival and Trade Fair kicks off in Palpa (Photo Feature)

Rampur (Palpa), January 11, 2017: The first-ever Rampur Festival and Trade Fair kicked off at Rampur in Palpa district from today.

Minister for Industry Nabindraraj Joshi inaugurated the festival organized by Rampur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Joshi said that there was no alternative to ushering country to economic prosperity. He shared that preparations were underway to endorse amendment to the Industries Act in the parliament to advance the economic cause.

The Minister also underscored collaboration between the government and private sector for the development of industry in the country.

The festival that runs through January 21 features more than 200 stalls, 26 eateries, four automobiles and photo stalls, among others.

Fair Organizing Committee Chair Bhojendra Prasad Dhakal said that the organizers are expecting 200,000 visitors and transaction worth Rs 100 million.

Elephant ride, display of live ostriches and pythons and other amusement sports will draw and amuse more visitors to the event, according to Dhakal.

He believed that helicopter ride for sightseeing of Rampur Valley will also be an added attraction for the visitors.
