Five Students from Oscar College Awarded with Singapore’s Scholarship

Kathmandu, 5 January, 2018: Five students from Oscar International College (College of Film Studies), Kathmandu have been granted a scholarship of Rs 35,000 by Infinity Studio, Singapore.

Syu Mole, the representative of Infinity Studio, announced the name of the awardees of the scholarship in the ceremony held at the college premises. Nipil Sharma, Diwas Amgain, Babin Dulal, Aashish Limbu and Sandip Shrestha are the recipients of the scholarship.

“We know that the amount of scholarship we are presenting is not prodigious. But by this initiation, we aim to encourage these students. We are enthusiastic for the coalition with Oscar International College in near future too. As film production phenomenon is all about creativity as well as enterprise, students should be able to instigate both of these skills.” Syu mentioned.

Binod Paudel, Principal of the college, asserted about the future partnerships with Infinity Studio. “Due to the constraints in number of students for the scholarship, we had to select only five students and let go many of our students. But this doesn’t mean the remaining students are not competent enough, everyone has equal potential to do their best.” Paudel encouraged every student present in the premise.

Previously, Umesh Bhandari, Rijan Gajurel, Martin Bhandari, Ankit Paudel and Ishan Bhusal had bagged this scholarship.
