Flood Swept Total 33 Houses In Gorkha

Gorkha, July 10: 33 families have been displaced by flood in Gorkha. The flash flood occurred in the Budhigandaki River last night has inundated Soti bazaar at Thumi VDC-6 in the district.

A Local Sapana Panta said that there is high risk for the remaining houses. The locals are rescuded and shifted to safer zone by the joint team of the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force rescued and shifted them to safer zones.

The security bodies have evacuated the locals, said Chief district officer (CDO) Uddhav Prasad Timalsina. He added that the level of the water in the river is gradually decreasing.
