Jhapa, February 10, 2017: Journalist Gaurav Pokhrel, one of the top 6 finalists of Glocal Teen Hero 2016 has been felicitated on Thursday. He was honored on the auspicious occasion of the annual day ceremony of Kankai Secondary School located in Surunga of Kankai municipality-6, Jhapa.
Pokharel is honored for his remarkable contribution towards children and education through his involvement in journalism, said Asha Sharma Siwakoti, Principal of the school.
Educator Chandra Prasad Mainali conferred Pokharel with a letter of felicitation.
Pokharel has an expertise in children’s beat in journalism, and is currently involved with Online Khabar and Bibechana daily.
He was also honored as the top six finalists of Glocal Teen Hero 2016, a national competition to recognize the talented teens all over the Nepal.
