Lalitpur: ‘Go Local – Made in Nepal’ is designed to promote Nepali products, businesses, and young entrepreneurs, and encourage people to shop and support local brands. Local businesses are abundant in Nepal that offers locally made products that are of the highest quality. To promote such businesses to the audience, we are organizing this event to spread awareness about local businesses and acknowledge the efforts of locally manufactured brands and products.
‘Go Local – Made in Nepal’ event was organized on 29th February 2020, Saturday at Maharani Fountain from 1 PM – 8 PM, Mangalbazaar, Lalitpur. Organized by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 16, Mikha Consulting and Yala Wears, this event was planned to support local products, youth entrepreneurs, and promote upcoming Nepali businesses and products in the same platform. With youth entrepreneurs and a few NGOs participating, they wanted to promote Nepali startups and urge everyone to shop locally manufactured products and/or services. This event also served as a purpose to promote Visit Nepal 2020 by showcasing a wide range of Made in Nepal products.
The first installment of “Go Local – Made in Nepal” was organized on 21st December 2019 at Labim Mall, which was sponsored by Canon Printers (Authorized distributor IEC). During the event, 15 brands had set up their stalls, with more than 1,000 visitors.
30 stalls were installed which showcased Nepali made products and/or services and approximately five ready to eat food stalls were also set up for all our visitors. The participating Nepali brands had stalls displaying clothing’s by Jama Nepal, Human Fit Nepal, Junjeli, Shibori Nepal etc. Other stalls were from ventures like Creative Paper, Ju-C, Dhwo: Design Studio, Sahana Guitars, Blunch Food Outlets, Taata-kye, FW Nepal, Health for All, Marta Kala, Broche, Cozee, Toast Man, Days for Girls, Custom R Us, Chhori, Agix, MuskaanEntreprises, Toast Man, Ranjana Galli’s Soda, Maximalysm, Health for All, Masta Kala, Therapy, Bodhisattva Gallery, Creative Papercrafts bag Nepal and so on.
The event was organized by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 16, Mikha Consulting and Yala Wears, supported by Laxmi Bank as banking partner and Vianet as Internet partner.
