Kathmandu, September 3: The Government, after a meeting held today, has recommended ambassadorial candidates for six countries.
The meeting of the council of Ministers recommended the names of six under-secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for appointment as ambassadors. It recommended Khaganath Adhikari for Thailand, Ambika Devi Luitel for France, Kali Prasad Pokharel for Canada.
Similarly, the meeting has proposed Yagya Bahadur Hamal for Kuwait, Deepak Dhital to the Permanent Mission of Nepal in Geneva for United Nations and Other International Organisations and Amrit Bahadur Rai for South Africa.
The proposed ambassadors are appointment by the President after the proposal is approved by the Parliamentary Special Hearing Committee.
