GOVERNMENT’S HIGH PRIORITY TO OUTLET INUNDATED WATER IN SUNKOSI/BHOTEKOSI

Kathmandu, Aug 2: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam has said that the government has deployed all security and the state bodies for an easy outlet of the blocked water in Sunkosi/ Bhotekosi rivers. Talking to journalists at the Prime Minister’s Residence Baluwatar today, DPM Gautam informed that the government has already requested the people of affected zones to move towards the safer places. DPM Gautam said that he has already directed the chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force for necessary arrangements to unblock the river. Talking on a different note, DPM Gautam said that this natural disaster would not affect the scheduled visit of Indian Prime Minister Modi. Indian Prime Minister Modi is arriving in Kathmandu tomorrow. “The government has already requested the Indian and Chinese Governments for necessary technical supports if the condition further worsens and they are ready to extend supports,” Gautam added. According to DPM Gautam, the government has mobilized the state-owned and private helicopters for the rescue purposes in the affected areas. RSS
