Makawanpur, 15 November 2015: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Local Development, Kamal Thapa, on Sunday said that the government is doing homework to strike an all-party consensus to hold the elections to local brodies as soon as possible.

DPM Thapa said that the government is committed to implementing federalism as per people’s wish through the elections to local bodies. Thapa was speaking at a programme organised by the Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City in Hetauda, Makawanpur.
Saying that resources of the government alone could not develop the city and equip it with new technology, Thapa urged for impartial allocation of available resources at local level towards that end.
On the occasion, Sudesh Pokharel, executive officer at the sub metropolis, said that local people of the city area are facing a lack of various facilities like water, road and electricity among others. RSS
