“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life.”- Rudy Giuliani

Do you enjoy spending times with your grandparents? Do you love their company? Well, it depends on person but I really love to spend my time talking to my grandparents.

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family’s foundation. Grandparents keep a family close at heart through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and care. A child needs a grandparent to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world. Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love. Because grandparents are ones that can often reach out past pride and fear of failure and close the space between generations. Grandparents should play the same role in the family as the nation head of the country. They have the experience and knowledge that comes from surviving a great many years of life’s battles and the wisdom, hopefully, to recognize how their grandchildren can benefit from this.
I am blessed with my grandparents. I cherish their presence and love hearing to their stories about their times, about their lives, about how the conditions were, about nature, and also about the values that has been transferred. My grandmother is 10 years younger than my grandfather. They have lived years together, but still they fight like a kid. The understanding of relationship, the value of care, the virtue of togetherness and a lesson of love, are things that has been inherited to us by them.

My grandfather has a great knowledge of Sanskrit and he knows all Veds, performs rituals, reads Bhagwatgita and he knows all the spell to create harmony in the family. He also teach me to sing various Bhajans and traditional musics in his harmonium. Besides, he creatively motivate me to read the Sanskrit Lines and explain the meanings. He is fond of talking and watching the daily comedy series that comes in Nepal Television. His way of thinking, way of communicating and all the gestures he shows is truly amazing.
My grandmother is the most caring soul in the whole universe. She knows my favorite food, she knows what makes me happy and also cares about everything. She is like a powerhouse in our family. She begins our day with a morning prayer like a magic that flourish throughout the house and she always guides us well. She even accompanies me in my Tiktok videos I make, I say my grandmother is cool. She even checks on Facebook and text me. She is truly a beautiful gift we have and I love her.

It is said Grandparents make the world a little softer, a little kinder, and a little warmer. I strongly believe this line. Let’s love our grandparent’s because the lives you got has been created by them.
