Baby Groot is obviously going to steal the spotlight in this film.
December 4, 2016: On Saturday, Marvel released the highly-anticipated Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer.
The hilarious clip shows the chemistry between the otherworldly characters and reminds audiences of why they initially loved the first film.
The trailer begins with a giant monster, reminiscent of an octopus, attacking the Guardians.
But the spotlight quickly moves to the adorable Baby Groot, who can still only say ‘I am Groot!’ and has a hard time understanding when Rocket warns him not to press the ‘death button.’
“Now, whatever you do, don’t push this button,” says Rocket to a totally-understanding-not-at-all-and-about-to-blow-up-the-team Baby Groot.
The trailer proves that just like in the first film, Groot is arguably going to be the star here.
The clip really just seems like some epic space moments spliced together in an effort to get us hyped for the next entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, 2017.
