Rukum, December 24, 2016: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the Guerrilla Trail in Chunbang of Rukum district. The trekking route follows trails used by the Maoist guerrillas during the war.
Inaugurating the track, PM said that we need to move towards economic prosperity. “We had seen many dreams through these base areas. While some are achieved, many are yet to be fulfilled. Now, we need to dream for economic prosperity from here itself,†he said.
He mentioned that we need to make a touristic center of the trails that guerillas walked through in the war era, and begin economic prosperity. On the occasion, he also appealed to the Rukum folks for continued support in completing the people’s war, which he said was yet to meet its objectives. He is also visiting Ghalegaon of Rolpa to inspect the Martyr Trail there.
