Glocal Khabar, Kathmandu, 25th November 2014, Arrival of Heads of Government from the participating nations of SAARC is on progress since today morning. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Srilankan President landed at TIA today at 10:30 AM and departed for Lumbini via a helicopter with a scouting of Nepali Army’s helicopter.

Secondly Ashraf Ghani, president of Afghanistan arrived Kathmandu at 11:15 AM. Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh was responsible to welcome him.

Tshering Tobgay Prime Minister of Bhutan was the third VVIP to be welcomed at TIA this morning. DPM Bam Dev Gautam received him at the airport at 11:40 AM.IMG_1435

 

The prime minister of Maldives Abdullah Yameen is the latest Head of Government from a SAARC Nation to be welcomed at TIA by DPM Gautam this afternoon at 12:20 PM.

 

The Heads of Government have departed to Hotel Soltee with the VVIP security arrangements. The arrangement includes an ambulance, bomb disposal squad, army Scouting, mobile jammer and police vehicles.

PM Modi of India, PM OF Pakistan Nawaraj Sarif and PM of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to arrive next respectively.

It is also said that the PMs of India and Pakistan is to meet during the SAARC period.

The Airport is decorated and programmed very effectively for the welcome of the distinguished guests from the SAARC Nations. The security arrangement inside the airport is well managed. The journalists from national and international Medias are on standby positions to cover the arrival of Heads of Nations from the SAARC Countries.
