Dhunche, Aug. 7: Free health camps have been set up at different places along the Dhunche-Gosainkunda Road section.The health camps were set up targeting to provide health check up services to the pilgrims, on their way to Gosainkunda, said Sanjib DM, chairman at the Gosainkunda Area Development Committee (GADC).
According to DM, Kathmandu based Green City Hospital has set up a health camp at Syaphru and Nepal Army has set up the camp at Cholangpati on the way to Gosainkunda.Gosainkunda Himalayan Rescue Association and local health workers have carried out an awareness campaign and provided oxygen to the needy pilgrims and passersby in view of possible risks of altitude sickness.
Hindu devotees throng the Gosainkunda on the occasion of Janaipurnima (full moon day of Shrawan). The GADC has urged the public to visit the Gosainkunda without any hesitation as it has made arrangements for health camps and temporary sheds.
Likewise, the GADC has managed different temporary sheds in the areas instead of hotel and lodges.
Similarly, the Langtang National Park office has urged the pilgrims not to cut down tree branches even for using them as walking stick. Hindu religious festival Janaipurnima falls on August 10 this year.
