Kathmandu, 17 Feb 2015:Â The Hello Tomorrow challenge 2015 was held on 16th of feb in Alliance Francaise Banshi Ghat Marga, Teku road, Tripureshwor on the presence of three distinguished speakers viz. Mr. Suman Shakya, Mr. Niraj Khanal and Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary. Mr. Santosh Pradhan, HTK Ambassador gave a welcome remark while the event was hosted by Mr. Abdus Miya.
The event was initiated with the welcome speech by Santosh Pradhan. He talked about the Hello tomorrow challenge which is one of the three pillars of the initiative, along with the Conference and the Community, an interdisciplinary network of “Builders of Tomorrow†which participate in events all over world dedicated to technological innovations and their implications for critical sectors.
Suman Shakya,director of one planet solution focused on the the need of maximum young people to become an entrepreneur in order to develop Nepal. His major explanation, “Money is not the only factor that does not let to start up something big; it’s the mindset. The belief that we can do nothing is what stops us from taking initiative. Entrepreneurship is the concept that makes you the master of your own.”
Niraj Kanal, one to watch director spoke about the Impacts of Investments in Nepal. He also emphasized on need of dedication, perception and vision to become an successful entrepreneur.
Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing director of CG pinpointed the importance to think differently. He says,” An entrepreneur starts growing up when he understand the value of money and believes in the idea of beautifying complications.”
“Good is the enemy of great†and “whatever made you successful in the past won’t in the future†he added.
The Grand Finale will be held during the 2015 Hello Tomorrow Conference on June 25th and 26th at the Cité des Sciences & de l’Industrie, in Paris. During the event, all 30 selected semi-finalists will compete for 5 track prizes of €15,000 and the €100,000 Orange Grand Prize by pitching their project to a 2,000-strong audience including a selected jury panel of international experts.
This major event organized in Paris on June 25-26th 2015 is expected to gather changer makers from all age and backgrounds to discover the best startups of the Hello Tomorrow Challenge and attend keynotes from pioneering speakers.
Hello Tomorrow Kathmandu aspired young people participating in the event to accept the challenges and take leadership. There was a presence of many audience from different sectors including the personalities from different banks, corporate houses students CEOs etc. Many youth asked the questions related to enterpreneurship in Nepal. The program was successfully ended with the high tea and direct interactions.
