Bhimduttanagar, Nov 28: Of the total 426 HIV/AIDs inflicted people registered in the Kanchanpur district, 112 have lost life to this fatal ailment.
According to the District Public Health Office (DHO), Kanchanpur, among the HIV infected people the majority of them are those who work in India as laborers.
Some 196 people living with HIV/AIDS have been identified in the district while their family, who got infected from their spouse, comes second to them, standing at 165.
Similarly, 52 infants have been recorded to have got the HIV transmitted from their mother, informed Bal Bahadur Mahato, the Chief of DHO, Kanchanpur.
