Kathmandu, Oct 16: Proposed member to the NHRC Prakash Wosti has said he would emphasise on implementation of the provision by which the Commission can black-list the rights violators.
Wosti said this while responding to the questions put by lawmakers in the parliamentary hearing special committee today.
He rued that his term as the Supreme Court judge was not extended despite deciding the largest number of cases (8,000 cases) while working at the Supreme Court for five years, adding that his nomination as member of the NHRC has proved that his term had not been extended because of his fault.
He strongly denied accepting a bribe of Rs 800,000 in a case as per the allegations. “Accepting bribe of even a single paisa is like drinking your mum’s blood,” he added.
