June 23, 2015:Â Hundreds of people died in Karachi of Pakistan due to heatwave in last three days. 347 people is killed due to the heatwave till date.
People are unable to make it to the hospital due to excessive heat. The temperature reached 44.8 degrees Celsius in Saturday. The government has declared state of emergency in all its government hospitals and has cancelled the leave of medical personnel’s too. The government is planning to bring more medical team and medical supplies.
Saturday’s temperature in Pakistan was the highest recorded in 15 years. Pakistan is celebrating Ramadan which is the holy month of Muslim people.
The city suffers frequent power outage. The people in the city are not able to use their coolers due to the power shortage. Last month India suffered the same problem killing more than 2000 people.
