Kathmandu, 21 December 2015: Â President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged all to help implement the new constitution, adding that the execution of the new constitution would make Nepal prosperous as it was issued through elected body incorporating the aspirations of all people.
Inaugurating the First Labour Parliament meeting of different 12 trade unions coordination centre here in the capital today, President Bhandari noted that the new constitution has highly honoured labour and the labour force.
Similarly, President Bhandari suggested the labour force to join in the nation building mission realizing the duty and responsibility of all. Social security system could inspire in the national building mission therefore such system should be established, President Bhandari added.
She drew the attention of the government to reconstruct the quake damaged infrastructures. President Bhandari stressed on the unity of government, employers and labourers to create employment inside the nation.
The Head of the State further said that the pluralism was a beautiful ornament of the republicanism where different thoughts and creeds could be accommodated.
Similarly, Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey informed that the government was working to formulate the new laws and amend the existing one related to labour.
The unofficial border blockade imposed by India has badly affected the industry sectors, he added. Minister Pandey pointed out the need of focusing on economic revolution as the nation now has got the new constitution.
On the occasion, Trade Union Congress chair Khila Nath Dahal and centre chair Bishnu Rimal said that the ongoing border blockade has badly affected the labourers therefore they need social security.
