Indefinite tranasport halt in Rasuwa

Dhunche (Rasuwa), July 22: Locals here have called an indefinite transport halt demanding continuation of manager of the Chilime Hydropower Company, Kulman Ghising, in his post. Ghising was removed from his post and transferred to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) by the Ministry of Energy few days back. Vehicular movement in the district is halted due to transport closure. The hydropower company was closed since July 18 calling for Ghising’s continuation as the manager of the Chilime Hydropower Project.
Construction works of Sanjen hydropower project of 57.1 megawatt and Rasuwagadhi hydropower project of 111 megawatt have been halted with the protest.
