NEW DELHI, July 30 (Xinhua): Yakub Memon has been executed  for his role in 1993’s Mumbai serial blast, following his last minutes petition to terminate his hanging in an unprecedented predawn hearing turned down by High Court.
In the western state of Maharashtra’s city of Nagpur, he was choked to death around 7 a.m. local time at a prison.
