June 17, 2017: Guam ranked 174th in Fifa ranking stuns India in world cup qualifier. Guam won the match by 2-1 and sits on the top of the table in the qualifier.
Guam scored the goals in 37th and 67th minutes. The goals were scored by McDonald and Nicklaw. For India Sunil Cheetri scored the goal in additional time of second half. After the goal Chettri also became the first Indian footballer to score 50 goals for India.
The country of Islands earlier defeated Turkmenistan. Guam’s manager said  he wants to put Guam football on the map, and I think that’s happening already. Both Guam and India will play against Iran in their next game.
