Indian Embassy announces results of Essay, Drawing & Quiz Competitions on International Yoga Day

Kathmandu, June 20, 2017: Embassy of India in Kathmandu has announced the winners of the essay, drawing and quiz competitions organized on the occasion of International Day of Yoga.

Anushka Lal from Rato Bangla School has been declared the winner of the essay competition held on the topic ‘Yoga: A Road to Success in Modern World.’ Meanwhile, Ishika Sharma from Modern Indian School was successful to come in the second position, whereas Dhiraj Kumar Mishra from International English Boarding School in Bara district bagged the third position. Students from Class 8 to Class 12 participated in the competition. The winners will be awarded the Certificate of Merit and cash prizes of NPR 15,000, 12000, and 10,000 respectively. These essays will be published in the upcoming souvenir on Yoga.

Similarly, Alliya Fatma from Modern Indian School came first in the drawing competition. Likewise, Arpita Pandit from DAVRB Kedia HSS, Birgung bagged the second position, whereas Sumesh Khatiwada from Bagmati Boarding Secondary School came in the third position. The winners will be awarded the Certificates of Merit and cash prizes of NPR 10,000, 8000, and 6,000 respectively. These Paintings/drawings will also be published in the souvenir on Yoga.

Likewise, Yogita Agrawal from Alok VidhyaShram was declared the winner in the quiz competition. Rishansa Koirala from Kendriya Vidyalaya bagged the second position, whereas Alok Kumar Prasad from Rai School secured the third position.

International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year.
