Kathmandu, 26th January, 2015Â : CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that initiatives to forge consensus with the opposition alliance comprising the UCPN (Maoist) were underway.
At a programme organised by the Press Chautari Nepal here today, Nepal said they were ready to create environment conducive for consensus by narrowing down the differences seen among political parties regarding the constitution writing.

Nepal has been playing a role of mediator since the past few days at a time when differences among the ruling parties and the opposition parties were increasing.
He said that the proposal presented by the Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik, Bijay Gachchhadar, would be the key point for consensus.
The former Prime Minister said, “Gachchhadar’s proposal was very good. I had also forwarded similar proposal sometimes ago.”
