May 20, 2015: To repair the rooms of The Tanahun prison which was destructed by earthquake,the jailbirds themselves have come together.
After the Tanahun Prison provided construction materials worth Rs 50,000 the inmates have put their efforts to repair the structure. Acting chief of the prison Tirthanath Khanal said that the jailbirds are joining hands to maintain room number 1,3 and 4 of the prison which suffered the quake-triggered damages.
As per the source, the Tanahan Prison which has the capacity to accommodate 25 is now a shelter of 108 jailbirds.
