International sculpture workshop starts from Feb 17 at Galkot


Baglung: Galkot Art Foundation is organizing an International Sculpture Workshop. The workshop will take place in Galkot-5 Teuwa from 17th February to 4th of March 2020. The event aims to establish an open sculpture museum and research centre of an international standard in Baglung.

A total of 15 sculptors including 10 from abroad will be taking part in the event. 10 assistants are helping to the sculptors, who are from Fine Arts College students and professional carvers. Chairman of the Academy, Mr.Purna Bahadur Rana said that the national flags of 11 countries have been placed in the event venue. The artists will spend 15 days at Teuwa to explore their skills. General people including art lovers can visit the workshop.

Likewise, Mr.Praveen Kumar Shrestha, Mr.Om Khatri, Mr.Rajan Kafle, Mr.Buddha Chaudhary and Mr.Raju Pithakoti will be joining in the event from Nepal.

Similarly, Japanese artist Jun Ichiro Sugimoto, Tanya Preminger from Israel, Lyudmyla Mysko from Ukraine, Julie Glaspy from Canada, Liu Yang from China, Bettino Francini from Italy, Xavier Gonzalez from France, Lin Li Jen from Taiwan, Tutu Pattnaik S.k from India, Jorge Luiz Schroder from Brazil will attend the event.
