Kathmandu, 27 Oct 2014: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masashi Ogawa, called on Vice-President of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, at the latter’s residence, Boharatar, this morning.
Issues as Nepal-Japan relations, progress on constitution writing and Japan’s assistance to Nepal were discussed during the meeting.
Vice-President Poudel said, “The Japanese Ambassador inquired about the progress in constitution writing and wished for timely constitution. I also informed him that the intensive discussions among the parties were going on to bring the constitution on time.”
Similarly, Vice-President Poudel’s aide, Chiranjivi Adhikari, informed that the meeting also discussed the assistance needed for the development of Damauli hospital, imminent Nepal visit of a Japanese delegation under Japan-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Association and the Tanahu hydropower project.
The Japanese delegation consisting of two lawmakers of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party- Uasukee Thuruho and Korator Nagasuki- is arriving in Nepal on November 16.
