Join The Musical Night for Booketing

Kathmandu, Jan 30, 2015: The musical night is to be held by YUWA at the premises of Trisara, Lazimpat to raise funds for “The Booketing Project” on Saturday, 31^st January, 2015. This is a fund raising event named as “The Night for Booketing” which will be hosted by YUWA aiming to help many communities in rural areas of Nepal to overcome the problem of education.

YUWA, a not for profit, purely youth run and led organization working to promote youth participation through empowerment and advocacy. Among many programs, Booketing project is one of them with the objective of establishing libraries to the rural youths who are deprived of access to reading books and other educational materials. The fund collected from this event will be used for next Booketing Project at Shree Jana Jagriti Higher Secondary School, Ikudol-5, Lalitpur.

This event is the biggest fundraiser event where an emerging band “The Night” will be performing songs from their new album “AniUkali, SangaiOrali” along with the puppet team by synchronizing with the band.

Previous Booketing projects of YUWA  involved screening different social documentaries at Colleges inside and outside the valley where the participants had to bring a book as a ticket. Hence, the name “Booketing”: book + ticket.

The Program will start form 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
