Jungle Safari Programme launched by Banke National Park

Nepalgunj: Jungle safari program has started under Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign in Banke district and the program was announced by the Banke National Park.

Chief conservation officer of the park, Mr. Pramod Shrestha said that both domestic and foreign tourists can participate in the program. Though jungle safari was permitted two years back, the inflow of tourists failed to meet the expected target, he says.

Meanwhile, on the eve of the tour year, the National Park has started a jungle safari program by arranging a tour of local public elected representatives.

House of Representatives member, Mr. MahesworGahatraj ‘Athal’, Members of Provincial Assembly members- Mr. Krishna KC ‘Namuna’ and Ms. Usha Pun, former lawmaker Mr. Devraj Bhart and Raptisonari Rural Municipality Chairman Mr. LahuramTharu.Safari inspected the site and urged the native and foreign tourists to enjoy a wild ride in the national park.

The National Park was established in 2010 with a commitment to the international community of the Government of Nepal to protect the habitat and movement routes. It covers 550 square km in Banke, Dang, and Salyan districts.
