Temple’s annual income stands at Rs 7.7 million
Baglung, Sept 17: Baglung district’s famous religious site, Kalika Temple, has generated income of around Rs 7.7 million in the fiscal year 2070-71 BS.
The fund was accumulated through different income generating measures. It includes annual contractual worship, shutter in rent, parking site operation in bidding, sale of wood and grass, grants and financial donation, said Temple Trust Management Committee Chairperson Raju Khadka.
The contractual annual prayers alone raise the fund of Rs 3.68 million, Khadka informed. Total expenditure for the fiscal year was roughly Rs 4.89 million.
The annual expenses cover salary, allowance, cost involved in government prayers, maintenance, office expenses, physical infrastructure development, health camp, electricity and communications, he added.
The Trust has the internal fund of Rs 10 million. The Trust has put in place a five-year development plan for the broader development of the temple of late.
