Two visually impaired children were offered with Scholarships from the funds collected from â€˜Kalo Pothiâ€™ charity show organized by â€˜Together For Educationâ€™
Together For Education, an education focused Youth Campaign launched with the mission â€˜Better Nepal: Educated Nepalâ€™, recently conducted a charity Show of the much acclaimed Nepali movie Kalo Pothi in the capital and offered scholarships to the two visually impaired children.
The scholarship was offered on the occasion of Childrenâ€™s Day-2016.
Prapti Subedi, a Nursery level student and Prakash Pandey, an eighth grader in the Laboratory Higher Secondary School in Kirtipur were provided with the scholarships from the fund collected from the charity show, under the “Bindeshwori Pradhananga Scholarship”.
Ms. Sandhya Bajracharya from Together for Education and Mr. Lakpa Sherpa, principal of the school signed an agreement for the scholarship.
As part of the agreement, the school, together with the campaigners, will bearÂ the tuition fees, annual fees, examination fees and hostel facilities.
Initiated 3 months ago, the campaign, with its innovative concepts, has already facilitated more than one hundred students from different parts of the nation, with tremendous appreciation and support from the personalities from different walks of life.
â€œWe will soon be visiting various parts of the country with our campaign and provide with scholarships to Chepang Community and Mushar Community’s children too,â€ informed the campaign coordinator Navin Yadav.
The charity show was held on September 10-11 at WhiteHouse Graduate College of Management, the education partner for the campaign, and was supported by Leo Clubs.
