KANTIPUR MD, EDITOR ASKED TO APPEAR IN SUPREME COURT WITH WRITTEN STATEMENT

Kathmandu, Sept 12: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday directed the chairman and managing director of Kantipur Publications Kailash Sirohiya and others to submit a written statement equal to the statement record on the charge of contempt of court. Sirohiya, Editor-in-chief Sudheer Sharma, reporter Ghanshyam Khadka and others had reached the SC for the third times to record their statements.

A joint bench of Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma and Justice Om Prakash Mishra directed Sirohiya and other concerned to submit their written statement within September 17 by addressing the questions and contents on the case against contempt of court as well as answering the issues as per the verdict of Justice Gopal Parajuli given on January 24, 2014.
